A nurse from the era of mercy: Nina Bliznyuk.

Nina Bliznyuk from Minsk has a legendary record: she has been working as a visiting nurse for over 50 years. In 2009 Nina Bliznyuk was one of the first in the CIS who recieved a prestigious international award - the Florence Nightingale medal.

In 1996, 28-year-old Lyudmila Gusachenko and her daughter came to Vitebsk from Barnaul, and for a while, she took a job as a Red Cross nurse, where she helped elderly people.

What should people do when they retire? Raise grandchildren, bake pies, knit – is that all? Feel bored and go to the doctors, sit on the bench and nibble sunflower seeds? What else comes to mind? The joint project of LADY.TUT.BY and the Swiss Red Cross "Third Age" will tell about women who live differently.
